About Ironwake: Tank Combat

Ironwake: Tank Combat puts you behind the controls of a heavy battle tank with a job list that never gets easier. Across 10 missions you ambush enemy convoys, seize uplinks, hold a relay under fire, escort an evacuation vehicle, grab classified intel and race out of zones before artillery flattens them.

This is not a stand-and-shoot tank game. You steer with the keyboard, swing the turret with the mouse and hold fire to unload continuous shots. Buildings make solid cover, the minimap keeps enemies and objectives in view, and a quick dash can pull you out of a crossfire. Two big boss fights wait along the way, including a Dreadnought that changes tactics across three phases.

Wreckage leaves salvage behind. Spend it in the garage to beef up your hull, guns and engine, rotate through up to four weapons as they unlock, and give your tank a look of its own. Free in your browser, no download, just you and a lot of steel.

How to Play

  1. Move your tank with W, A, S and D.
  2. Aim the turret with the mouse and click the left mouse button to fire, or hold it for continuous fire.
  3. Press 1 to 4 to switch between the weapons you have unlocked, and Space to dash out of danger.
  4. Follow the minimap to reach objectives and track enemies, using buildings as cover.
  5. Collect salvage and press G to open the garage for armor, firepower and mobility upgrades.

Tips

  • Fight from behind buildings and only peek out to fire, especially when several enemies are tracking you.
  • Keep Space ready for artillery and boss attacks: a well-timed dash saves more health than extra armor.
  • Put early salvage into the upgrade that fixes your biggest problem, whether that is dying too fast or killing too slowly.
