About Highway Car Racer

The highway is jammed, the speedometer is climbing and there is no brake on ambition. Highway Car Racer puts you behind the wheel of a powerful car on roads packed with traffic and obstacles, and challenges you to see how far you can go before it all ends in a crash.

Slip between lanes, thread the gap between slower vehicles and react in a split second when something blocks your path. The distance you cover drives everything: the farther you get, the bigger your score and the better your rewards. One mistake sends you back to the start, which is exactly what makes it so hard to stop at just one more run.

Highway Car Racer is free to play in your browser with no download. Grab the keyboard, hit the accelerator and chase a new personal best.

How to Play

  1. Press W or the Up arrow to drive forward.
  2. Press S or the Down arrow to move back.
  3. Press A or D, or the Left and Right arrows, to switch lanes and steer.
  4. Use the mouse to click menu buttons.
  5. Avoid traffic and obstacles to drive as far as you can for a high score.

Tips

  • Look far down the road, not just at the car in front, so you can plan lane changes early.
  • Avoid weaving constantly: change lanes only when you have a clear gap.
  • Ease off when traffic is dense, then speed up on open stretches.
