About Mad Day Special

Earth is under alien attack, and worse, they have taken Fluffy, your beloved pet octopus. Mad Day Special is your rescue mission: a mash-up of hill-climbing racer and alien shooter where you trade fire with laser-wielding invaders from behind the wheel of a rocket-launching truck.

You will power up steep hills, crash straight through walls and launch rockets at anything with tentacles or ray guns. When the road runs out, you jump out and keep fighting on foot with a shotgun, smashing your way through the invaders until Fluffy is safe and you can make your escape.

Between runs, spend what you earn upgrading your car, guns, armor and even your outfit so you can survive longer each time. It is free in the browser with no download, so the rescue can start right now.

How to Play

  1. Drive your truck forward through the alien-infested levels.
  2. Press Space to jump over obstacles and gaps.
  3. Press X or Arrow Up to fire rockets at aliens and their weapons.
  4. When you leave the truck, keep blasting aliens on foot with your shotgun.
  5. Use your rewards to upgrade your car, guns, armor and clothing, then push further toward rescuing Fluffy.

Tips

  • Clear aliens ahead with rockets before you reach them so you take fewer laser hits on the climb.
  • Armor upgrades pay off fast, since surviving longer means more rewards each run.
  • Use jumps to clear walls and gaps cleanly instead of crashing into them at full speed.
