About Tidal Kart
Tidal Kart starts on a beach. The grid lines up under a wooden arch, the countdown ticks from three, and six little buggies tear off across the sand toward a lagoon. It is a kart racer in the classic mould: three laps, five rivals who will happily bump you into a palm tree, and a stack of item boxes waiting on the racing line.
The menu gives you a lot to play with before you even turn a wheel. There are ten tracks, from Coral Coast and Lava Lagoon to Neon Nights, Frost Peak, Sakura Sprint and Pharaoh Rally. You choose one of six drivers, each with a special power, and set how tough the rivals are, from Chill through Pro to Legend. You can even pick day or night and clear skies, rain or random weather, so the same track looks different on your next run.
On the track the controls stay simple. Hold the gas, steer into the corner and hold drift through the long bends, then let go for a burst of speed out of the turn. The screen calls out sharp lefts and rights before you reach them, and a minimap in the corner shows where the pack is. Your health bar takes a knock when you get hit, so racing clean matters as much as racing fast.
There is more than the standard race, too. Time Trial is just you against the clock, Elimination knocks out the last kart each lap, Battle turns the items into the main event, and 2 Players splits one screen so a friend can race you on the same keyboard. Coins from every finish go into the Garage, and three daily challenges give you a reason to come back tomorrow.
Tidal Kart is a light 3D game that loads in a few seconds and plays free in your browser with no download. It works with a keyboard on a computer or with on-screen buttons on a phone, where the gas is automatic and you only steer, drift and fire items.

How to Play
- Pick a mode, a track and a driver from the menu, then press Quick race.
- On a keyboard, use the Arrow keys or WASD to drive and steer.
- Hold Shift or Space to drift through a corner and release it for a speed boost.
- Drive through item boxes and press E, X or Enter to use what you picked up.
- On a phone the gas is automatic: use the on-screen buttons to steer, drift and fire items.
Tips
- Start drifting just before the corner, not in the middle of it, so the boost fires as the road straightens out.
- Watch the turn callouts at the top of the screen. They tell you which way the next bend goes before you can see it.
- Try Time Trial on a new track first. Learning the racing line without rivals makes the full race much easier.
