About Open Rings
Picture a jewelry box after someone shook it hard. Rings looped through rings, bars wedged between them, tiny locks holding the whole knot together. Open Rings asks you to untangle that mess, gently, one piece at a time.
Each level is a cluster of faceted rings, sliding bars and small locks. You turn a ring by dragging around it, pull bars along their tracks, and slip each piece off the board. The catch is that nothing can collide. Rotate a ring the wrong way and it bumps into its neighbor; slide a bar too early and it jams against a lock that has not opened yet. Locks only release once the pieces around them are gone, and bombs blast away everything nearby, so the order you work in really matters.
That is what makes this ring puzzle so relaxing and so absorbing at the same time. There is no clock pushing you. You can try a rotation, see it bump, double-tap to put the ring back, and try again. Hold still for a second and every ring returns to its starting spot if you want a clean restart. With 384 levels that run from easy warm-ups to properly tricky tangles, there is always another knot waiting.
If a board stumps you, diamonds you collect turn into gems for boosters like Hammer, Hint and Firework, and there is a free daily gift of boosters to dip into. Zoom buttons help on busy boards where pieces sit close together, so you can see exactly which edge is catching on which. It is the kind of puzzle where slowing down almost always pays off.
Open Rings is a lovely fit for quiet moments: a short after-school wind-down, a calm puzzle before bed, or a brain break between tasks. It supports phone and desktop and plays in 12 languages, so it is easy to share. It is free in your browser with no download.

How to Play
- Drag around a ring to turn it and find an angle where it can slide free.
- Move bars and rings off the board without letting any pieces collide.
- Clear the pieces around a lock to open it, and use bombs to blast away nearby parts.
- Double-tap a ring to put it back, or hold still for one second to reset every ring.
- Tap Hammer, Hint or Firework in the bottom bar to use a booster, and use the plus and minus buttons to zoom.
Tips
- Free the outermost pieces first, since they usually have the fewest things blocking them.
- Before turning a ring, check which direction leaves the most open space around it.
- Locks open only after their surrounding pieces are gone, so plan to clear those neighbors early.
- Zoom in on crowded boards so you can see exactly where two rings overlap.
- Use your daily booster gift on the levels that truly stump you instead of spending it on easy ones.
